Reimagining the popular Swanson tv dinners of the 60s/70s.
Each one will have a new @frasercooks recipe in place of one of the main components. First up is shepherds pie 🪄
• In a heavy Dutch oven, cook shallots garlic and spices for 5 minutes
• Add lentils, tomato paste and Worcestershire
• Fill another pot with your diced potatoes and cold water, boil until fork tender, mash with butter and a pinch of salt
• Add veg beef powder and water to the lentil mixture, along with the soy beef. Bring to a boil and then lower to a simmer and cook until lentils are fully cooked, about 15 minutes, then stir in peas
• Preheat oven to 350F.
• Place the cooked lentil mixture in a cassrole dish and top with mashed potatoes.
• Drag a fork over the top to create grooves. Drizzle with a heavy hand of olive oil.
• Bake for 20 minutes, then broil for 2-5 minutes to get the top crispy.
