CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DOUGH

1. In a large bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt together. Set aside.
2. In another large bowl, cream the softened butter with a hand mixer with the brown and white sugar until very smooth. This should take 5ish minutes. Mix in the apple sauce, vanilla extract and combine.
3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix together. The dough will be soft. Mix in the chocolate chips. Cover the dough and let chill in the fridge, ideally overnight. An hour will do if you need cookies now!
4. Preheat your oven to 325F and take your dough out of the fridge to allow it to slightly soften so you can scoop it.
5. Using a cookie scoop, scoop out your cookies and place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Make sure the cookie balls are evenly spaced as they will spread. Flatten them slightly with your hand.
6. Baking for 13-14 minutes. Remove and let cool when they are slightly golden. Top with flakey salt and dig in!
