These cheesy mushroom sliders taste like a deluxe pizza from Pizza Pizza and are a delicious plant-based option. They are made with a variety of mushrooms, jalapenos, and melted cheese, all grilled between pull-apart bread.
In a large pan over medium heat, add 1 tbsp of butter and melt for a minute.
Add the onions and mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes, or until all the moisture is cooked out of the mushrooms. Add a pinch of salt and pepper.
Add the jalapeno and 1/2 of the cheese into the mixture. Stir to combine and cook for another 2-5 minutes.
Slice the bread in half lengthwise, and place on a buttered large pan or griddle to toast and get golden brown. This will take a few minutes.
Place a layer of cheese on the bottom of the bread, then the mushroom mixture, and then more cheese. Place the top piece of bread on top and broil on low for a few minutes until the cheese is melted. Remove and dig in!
