This Air Fryer Orange Chicken recipe features soy curls coated in a flavorful mixture, air-fried to perfection, and tossed in a tangy orange chicken sauce made from fresh ingredients. It’s a simple, high-protein meal that's sure to impress.
1: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (you can also use an oven it just might take longer).
2: Rehydrate your soy curls in some veggie broth for 10 minutes.
3: In a bowl, add the hydrated soy curls, 2 tbsp corn starch, ginger powder, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and olive oil. Toss to combine and place in the air fryer basket, knock the basket to remove excess corn starch. Air fry for 10 minutes.
4: In a pot, add everything for the orange chicken sauce except the corn starch + water and orange zest. Bring to a boil. In a small bowl, combine the corn starch and water. Add that to the orange sauce. It should thicken quickly. Remove from the heat and add the orange zest.
5: Combine the soy curls and the sauce in a bowl.
6: Serve with rice and top with sesame seeds and green onions and dig in!
